 Costa Rica Cell Phone Rental Plans and Rates

We offer FOUR calling Plans.  ALL Plans allow you to receive calls locally and internationally, but only Plans Three and Four allow for international calling.  If you need to call "back home", make sure you choose the correct plan!

Plan One - Can not make international calls from Costa Rica (to the USA for example) but can receive them. Use this plan if you will NOT need to makes calls to any other country. UNLIMITED free minutes!

Plan Two - Same as Plan One but provides you with a toll free 800 number from the USA and Canada. You may give your personal toll free number to your family and business associates to call you at no charge to them.

Plan Three - Full International Direct Dial and SMS service.  You are able to make and receive direct dial international calls to any country in the world from your phone. SMS text service available to most countries if the local cell phone carrier permits.

Plan Four - This is a combination plan that uses a Plan One phone (see above) but we provide international calling card(s) so you CAN make international calls anywhere using the calling card!  Plan 4 rentals are only available for rentals of 7 days or more. For less than 7 days, use Plan One and you can purchase calling cards from your delivery driver. UNLIMITED free minutes!. The calling cards can be used anywhere, on your cell phone, hotel room, or from public phones if your are in a remote area where cell service is not available.

Plan One - Costa Rica Calling Only but can receive International calls

With this Plan you can RECEIVE International Calls
but you cannot MAKE International calls.

Other Terms and Services:  Please read carefully.

• Important:  Minutes are included in all plans.  These are cumulative and the total minutes can be used at any time during the rental period.
  
  On Plans 1 and 4, the minutes are unlimited.
  

• Delivery and pickup are FREE for all rentals of at least seven days or longer. If we need to pay tolls or parking, there may be an additional charge

• Phone is delivered with a wall charger and a carrying case.  English versions of the owners Guides are available here.

• You must provide a valid email address and phone number for all rentals.

• You are responsible for all damages to the phone and accessories. Loss of the phone or damage that does not permit use of the phone when you return it will be cause for loss of the security deposit.

• We will program your Voice Mail with a message in English or in Spanish.  Let us know in the Comments section of your reservation form.
  
  Note: Toll free service is NOT available to be added to Plan 1 or Plan 4 phones.
  
  
• About 80% of Costa Rica has cell phone coverage.  We can make no guarantee if you will have service everywhere you travel. Nearly all heavily traveled tourist locations DO have coverage, but the only way to know for sure would be to call (not write) to the locations you will be traveling and ask them if there is cell coverage where they are.
•

Who Needs an 800 number?

Here are the three most common reasons:

1. Parents with children whose cell phones are blocked for international calling.

2. Business people who want their clients to be able to reach them but NOT pay for an international call.

3. People with aging parents or other family who want a simple way to call internationally without having to deal with international calling and country codes
