UsE Your Credit Card or pay via eCheck   

Some of our customers prefer to not pay their rental and deposit in cash.  We now offer TWO ways for you to pre-pay your deposit and not have to deal with carrying cash.

Using your Credit Card

Official PayPal SealFor qualified customers, we also make available the convenience of using your credit card to pay the Total Deposit amount shown in your Pre-Confirmation email.  You do NOT have to be a member of PayPal to use this service, but see restrictions below.

PayPal  accepts American Express, VISA, Master Card, Discover and others.

We require that you NOT be using a "public" email address such as Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, Yahoo or so on.  You must use either a business email account OR an email account provided to you by your Internet Service Provider.  This is WAIVED however, if you 1. are a PayPal Verified member or  2. are a returning customer of Cell Phones Costa Rica or 3. are a current member of ARCR or 4. we have verified your status by other methods acceptable to us.

We make a non refundable convenience charge to users of this service.  Please see the schedule below.

Also, and you will be required to agree to the terms and condition (see below).  The convenience charge is to cover our additional costs in preparing invoices and managing the PayPal merchant process.  If you wish to use this service, you only need reply to your Pre-Confirmation email that you want to pay by PayPal credit card, and you will be emailed an invoice to approve and to pay.   Do NOT send us money via PayPal.  You must wait until we generate the invoice to you.

 

Using eCheck

eCheck is convenient service of PayPal and saves you money over using a credit card.  If you remit by eCHECK, the charge is a flat $10.00 regardless of the size of your payment.  Note that it takes at least FIVE business days for us to receive the funds, so your remittance must be made at least seven days before you arrive in Costa Rica and accept delivery of your phone.  Anyone can use eCheck as we make no restrictions on usage, but you must have a valid bank account for withdrawal of the funds.

If you wish to use this service, you only need reply to your Pre-Confirmation email that you want to pay by PayPal eCheck, and you will be emailed an invoice to approve and to pay.  Do NOT send us money via PayPal.  You must wait until we generate the invoice to you. Payment via eCheck is NOT the PayPal default, so if you use it, you MUST select the eCheck option.

 

Terms and Conditions
Read Carefully as you are agreeing to this!

NOTE:  Only the person actually renting the cell phone can use PayPal.  We will NOT accept PayPal payment from any other person.  Names must match!

By paying the invoice, you will be stating that you understand and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding your Costa Rica cell phone rental:

1. About 75% of Costa Rica has cellular phone coverage, however as Costa Rica is a third world country, we make NO guarantee to you of cell phone coverage anywhere in Costa Rica at any time, and we will honor no request for refund or adjustment due to lack of service. Generally though, nearly all tourist areas and larger towns have cell phone  service.

2. You are fully responsible for the return of the phone in working condition less normal wear and tear and agree to pay for any lost or stolen accessories as provided in your contract.

3. You agree to provide credit card information upon delivery of the phone, and you agree to pay any amount over your invoice if you use the phone in excess of the prepaid minutes provided in your rental plan AND if you fail to pay any overage charge, in cash, at the time the phone is returned.

4. Any refund of the security deposit will be made only through PayPal. We will NOT return cash directly to you.

5. If your rental phone is lost or stolen, you agree to contact us at once at the numbers provided in your Pre-Confirmation email and rental contract. You are 100% responsible for all charges made to your phone until you have notified us that it has been lost or stolen and we have turned off service to that phone.

6. If your phone fails to work and cannot be fixed by the simple replacement of a charger or battery, you understand you WILL be charged until the phone has been returned to us for exchange or credit.

7. We make no refunds or credits for early returns though we may, at our sole option, do so on a case by case basis.

8. If cancellation is made more than 48 hours before your scheduled delivery time, you will receive a 100% refund of this invoice including the convenience charge.

9 If cancellation is made 24-48 hours before your scheduled delivery time, you will receive a 100% refund of this invoice less the convenience charge.

10 If cancellation is made less than 24 hours before your scheduled delivery time, you will receive a 80% refund of your invoice less the convenience charge.

11. You are responsible to contact us by phone or email if you miss your flight, your flight is cancelled or you will not be at the scheduled delivery location to receive your phone. You do NOT need to notify us of flight delays however, as we track all incoming flights from here.  If a driver is unable to deliver your phone because you failed to notify us, you agree to payment of a $15.00 missed delivery fee.

By paying this invoice through PayPal, you are stating that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions regarding your Costa Rica cell phone rental.
